Want to give your floors a classic touch or a unique patterned accent? Consider ceramic or porcelain tile, natural limestone, slate, marble, glass or granite.
If you are looking for a durable floor that will last for the life of your home, ceramic deserves special consideration.
Tile comes in many forms, is incredibly versatile and adds a stunning look to any room in your home. Your options in tile are virtually endless! You can choose from tiny mosaics to 20-inch tiles or larger. There are geometric shapes to consider - squares, rectangles, diamonds and ovals. Tiles also come in a variety of textures - choose from smooth, nubby matte, semi and high gloss finishes.
Tile is not only gorgeous but it's also very practical. The surfaces are easy to keep clean and they tend to retard the growth of fungus, mold and mildew.
In kitchens and baths, ceramic is more practical than stone because advances in finishes have make ceramic impenetrable. While chipping does occur, the grout makes tile more forgiving of wear and tear than stone.
